The air is tense
As I sat there, the car felt less like a safe place and more like a cage. My eyes fell on the folder again and my mind raced - each possibility seemed more unsettling than the last. Was this all a plan? "Drew," I said firmly, "this doesn't feel right." His claim that he just wanted to talk didn't match the oppressive reality that surrounded us. A tingling sensation spread across my skin, a warning feeling that I couldn't ignore. The low hum of the engine was the only thing that made it seem as if everything was normal.

Anxious thoughts
I stared at the entrance to the clinic and let my thoughts run wild as one scenario after another played out in my head. What was Drew really up to? Was he planning something without telling me? My hands clenched into fists as my anxiety grew. "Why here, why now?" I whispered, scrutinizing his profile as if I could find an answer. But he seemed calm - worryingly calm - as if everything was completely normal. But nothing about it felt normal. Everything inside me was screaming that something was wrong.
