Focusing on growth
Instead of losing myself in family drama, I started to think about how I could grow personally. Perhaps learning new skills or engaging in activities that I enjoy. Build relationships, cultivate friendships - things that really matter. It felt incredibly good. I was making space in my life for people and experiences that were positive and enriching. The more I focused on this new direction, the more the old boundaries that my family had once set for me faded into the background.

Kevin's unwavering support
Kevin kept checking in on me and reminding me that life isn't all difficulties. "You can do it," he'd say like an old broken record. We laughed about the crazy things our families were up to and felt like steadfast comrades. He stood by me just when I needed him the most. Our conversations - about everything and nothing - showed me that true friendship is priceless. The uncomplicated camaraderie and the moments we shared overcoming life's hurdles made me realize what true support looks like.
